How do I join?
What do I need to do
To obtain a connection to the NZ Health Network you are required to complete the following steps:
Complete and return the Application
form
to Connect to the NZ Health Network.
Read the
NZ Health Network Security Policy
. If you do not have a Security Policy at your organisation you are invited to adapt and adopt the
Generic Security Policy
to fit with your organisation’s requirements.
Decide which
VPN Provider (Word, 33 KB)
you wish to use for your Health Network Connection. Complete and return the appropriate forms to your chosen provider.
What happens next
Once your application has been processed you will receive a letter detailing if your application was approved. The Health Network Adminstrator will also advise the network VPN provider you indicated on your application if your application was approved.
You will need to contact your chosen network VPN provider once you have been approved (if they have not already contacted you) to arrange the installation. If your connection is already installed, your network provider will need to adjust your settings to enable you to access the New Zealand Health Network.
Contact the Owner of the application/s you wish to access and complete any necessary forms or requirements they have.
Some resources on the Health Network require users to have a HealthSecure Digital Certificate. If this is the case, and you do not already have a Digital Certificate please complete the appropriate application forms and return to the NZHSRA.
